Application Systems Technician
The Application Systems Technician will perform all the software duties for installations of electronic control systems which may include programming and support for door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, low voltage communication systems, network (wired and wireless) transmission systems, electronic locks, point sensors, signaling devices and associated supporting hardware.
Primary Tasks:
- Support the design and Integration of Access Control, Video Management Systems, and Intrusion Detection System through collaboration with other departments (Sales, Engineering, and Operations)
- Provide technical expertise in development and execution of Access Control and Video Management internal processes and best practices.
- Support and troubleshoot software, working with both end users and field personnel
- Perform initial set-up and configuration of servers and responsible for documenting information for future maintenance.
- Read and interpret design drawings including wiring and labeling methodology, system wiring diagrams, and system programming sheets (Point Lists). Program, configure, and test
- Train internal employees and end user groups as required in Administration and programing of Access Control and Video Management application(s) including but not limited to schedules, user groups, acknowledging and clearing alarms.
- Conduct site visits for review of Quality Control / Quality Assurance and interact with field technicians, project management, and end users to ensure successful system commissioning and documentation continued maintenance and support.
- Perform administrative duties as necessary in relation to the position in a timely and organized manner.
- Ability to design and implement custom solutions per request.
- Collaborate with Account Managers, Project Managers, and Operations Personnel with customer service and client satisfaction.
- Travel within the Chicago-Metro area and occasionally out of state (Less than 20%)
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Security Service Technician
Service Technicians diagnose problems and perform service and repairs on card access, CCTV, burglar alarm systems, electronic fire alarm systems and other related building system products at customer sites.
Primary Tasks:
- Follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures and refer to technical manuals, part manuals, change notices and bulletins, modification notices, etc. to repair equipment.
- Service, troubleshoot, and install card access, CCTV, and burglar alarm systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications software/systems, programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
- Exhibit effective customer service skills by consistently communicating with staff and customers to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding through communication devices such as smart phones and laptop computers
- Obtain customer signature upon completed service call assignment.
- Available for on-call emergency service.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Senior Security Install Technician
Individual applies knowledge of electronics, software, networking, computer server & workstation hardware, control systems, wiring, troubleshooting, and overall building construction to implement integrated security solutions. The individual must have excellent computer networking skills and communication skills to interact with a variety of clients & subcontractors in a high-pressure, challenging atmosphere.
Primary Tasks:
- Ability to effectively manage the field process of implementing an electronic building system from start to finish.
- Navigate, install, and troubleshoot complex, building-wide, or multi-site IP Video, intrusion & access control systems.
- Individual must have the ability to work independently without immediate supervision.
- Individual must be able to adjust work schedule to meet the demands of customer deadlines that are often changing or adapting to the mode of the construction environment.
- Individual must focus on producing quality work with precision and accuracy, while accepting the duty of care in all aspects of their work that may have a lasting effect on the safety and security of consumer life and property.
- Travel within the Chicago-Metro area and occasionally out of state.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
